During the evening of the inaugural concert the orchestra played, among others, with world-renowned pianist Krystian Zimerman. Piano Concerto in D minor, op.15 by Johannes Brahms sparked the enthusiasm of the audience, who rewarded the performance with a standing ovation.
According to the virtuoso pianist: "Neither Paris nor London or Brussels or Madrid, or Rome, or Berlin do not have such a concert hall."
During the three parts of the concert music lovers heard also works by Polish composers - Witold Lutoslawski, Krzysztof Penderecki, Henryk Mikołaj Górecki and Wojciech Kilar and the Ninth Symphony by Ludwig van Beethoven.
The guests of the orchestra were also: Ewa Tracz, Wieslaw Ochman, Melanie Diener, Anna Lubańska, Christian Elsner and Dimitry Ivashchenko and the Bavarian Radio Choir.
